Hermes Growth Partners (HGP) is a private equity advisory firm that focuses on growth-stage companies in the Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) sectors globally.
Overview
The firm’s primary objective is to help high-potential companies drive growth to create value. The firm is the exclusive advisor to the Canepa Global TMT Fund, which seeks to invest $10m-$50m into TMT companies with enterprise value of $50-250m. HGP and the Canepa Global TMT Fund bring a combination of long term capital, extensive operational management skills and financial asset management experience to each situation. As such HGP and the Fund can be viewed more as a strategic partner than a purely financial investor. The Fund is flexible with respect to control vs. minority stakes but will only consider situations where there is an opportunity to drive growth through active involvement of HGP.
History
The firm was founded in 2011 based on one simple belief: In the long run, investor returns are driven by the combination of good assets and great management teams. In an increasingly uncertain world, it is only intelligent hard work that can pay off, especially when investors have a long term view. This fundamental belief led to the formation of Hermes Growth Partners: world class managers coupled with long term capital seeking assets with high growth potential in which to invest time, talent and capital.
